Leider gab es keine Erfahrungswerte für die Zeitberechnung des Turnierablaufs. Die Disziplin 10-Ball mit jeweils 7 Gewinnspielen ist ja in Europa noch nicht so bekannt. Hierfür möchten wir uns vor allem bei den Spielern entschuldigen, die jeweils bis spät in der Nacht spielen mussten. Gleichzeitig möchten wir uns auch für die, im Nachhinein gesehen, kurze Vorlaufzeit dieses Turniers entschuldigen.

Jürgen Beckmann war auch sehr positiv überrascht über das in Deutschland herrschende hohe Spielniveau. Zitat: „Vor 18 Jahren organisierte ich damals das Brunswick Munich Masters mit weltweit sehr bekannten Billardspielern, worüber man heute noch spricht. So etwas ähnliches habe ich mir auf Europaebene vorgestellt und organisierte das Brunswick European 10-Ball Open. Leider wurden meine Erwartungen, das Feld mit 256 Spielern zu komplettieren, nicht erfüllt.

Hier habe ich mich zu stark auf die Verbände verlassen, mit denen ich lange den Termin abstimmte. So erfuhr ich erst letzte Woche, dass zeitgleich einige große Turniere in Europa stattfanden die gar nicht gemeldet wurden wie z.B. der Grand Prix Polski, Kärnten Grand Prix, die Bayrischen Meisterschaften, .......... – was mir gar nicht bewusst war, dass es keine Meldepflicht gegenüber der EPBF gibt.

Allerdings wurden meine Erwartungen der abgelieferten Matches mehr als erfüllt, es überraschte mich in welch hohem Spielniveau die Spieler ihre Leistung abrufen konnten.. “

Weiter führt er aus:“2010 + 2011 wird dieses Turnier fortgesetzt – mit versprochener längerer Vorlaufzeit – besserer Zeitablauf-Strategie – geplantem Live-Ticker – ein komplettes 256er Teilnehmerfeld – und – und – und “
